PENSILVA WILDLIFE GROUP
PENSILVA WILDLIFE GROUP

Local People for Local Wildlife!

The group was started with the support of The Caradon Hill Area Heritage Project in 2012 and is now a member of the Caradon Heritage Partnership. The group is based in Pensilva, in the Parish of St. Ive in Cornwall. The village is situated on the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor. It isnext to the source of the River Tiddy, which tumbles down a steep wooded valley. There are also a number of farms and smallholdings nearby. All theses features combine to provide a rich and varied habitat for our wildlife.

We aim to support our local wildlife by raising awareness, sharing information, conducting research and practical projects as opportunities arise. We are passionate about our local wildlife and hope that you will be too!

A committee works to organise a number of events each year to which all comers are welcome. These have includedtalks, workshops, outings, participating in research projects and children's events. Please see the event's page for details of current plans.
